Key takeaways
- Plenty of GetMint alternatives let you sign up and start tracking the same day: Promptwatch, Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Semrush, Scrunch and AthenaHQ all have trials or free tiers.
- Profound is the odd one out. Brands get a short free trial or an Enterprise quote, not a self-serve plan.
- "Free" varies. AthenaHQ has a free tier that doesn't expire. Most others give you 7 days. BabyLoveGrowth gives 3.
- Prices on third-party comparison pages are often stale. Confirm every number on the vendor's own pricing page.
- Judge tools by cost per prompt and engine, not headline price, and use at least 50 prompts so one flipped answer doesn't swing your score.
Why people look for a GetMint alternative
GetMint is a GEO tool with multi-engine monitoring and a publisher-network distribution model. According to the checkthat.ai alternatives page (updated March 30, 2026), the usual reasons people leave are the publisher-network commitment, thin enterprise analytics, no built-in content execution, no agency or multi-client features, and cost or geography.
Pricing is a moving target too. One comparison lists the Starter plan at $99/mo for 50 prompts and 2 models with daily refresh, while the vendor's own page reportedly shows 74 EUR/mo. That comparison comes from a competitor, so check getmint.ai before you use either number as your benchmark.
This guide has a narrow scope. You want to sign up, add a card or no card, load some prompts, and see data. No discovery call, no "let's find a time" email thread. Everything below is picked with that in mind.
What counts as self-serve here
I used three tests:
- You can create an account and start tracking without talking to anyone.
- There is a free trial or free tier, or a cheap entry plan you can cancel.
- Pricing is public enough that you know what you will pay after the trial.
A caveat on sources. Several of the comparison pages behind this research are vendor-authored and rank their own product first. That includes Promptwatch's own comparison, the Prefer review, and Agenzy, which is a Peec partner. I've leaned on them for numbers, not for rankings. Prices were verified between August and October 2026 and may have moved.

Tools you can start with today
Promptwatch
Promptwatch is the one I'd try first if you want more than a dashboard. Plans start at Essential, $95/mo for 50 prompts, with a 7-day free trial on monthly billing. Professional is $245/mo for 150 prompts and 5 articles, and Business is $579/mo for 350 prompts. The old $0 plan was removed in August 2026, so ignore older reviews that mention it. Confirm current numbers at promptwatch.com/pricing.

The difference from GetMint and most trackers is the loop. It tracks how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and others mention you, then shows where the answers come from, then helps you act with content gap analysis and the Content Agent (Business plan and up), then measures the result with IP-verified AI crawler logs and visitor analytics. Among the tools in this list, it is the one that pairs crawler logs with visitor analytics, per Promptwatch's own comparison. Treat that as a vendor claim, though it matches what I found checking the other pricing pages.
One honest wrinkle: sources disagree on how many engines Essential covers. Promptwatch's comparison says all of them, the Prefer review says 4 of 11 models. Look at the pricing page before you decide. You can also run the free AI visibility report with no login, or start the free trial. For a direct view, see Promptwatch vs GetMint.
Otterly.AI
The cheapest real entry point. Lite is $29/mo for 15 prompts across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Standard is $189 for 100 prompts and Premium is $489 for 400. There is a free trial and unlimited users are included.

The catches: Claude, AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons ($9 to $439/mo), and there is no API or MCP access below $189. Fifteen prompts is also thin. Good for a quick look, not a baseline.
Peec AI
Starter is $95/mo for 50 prompts on 3 of 6 engines, Pro is $245 and Advanced is $495, with a free trial. A fourth engine on Starter costs $35/mo. The Berlin-based company raised a $21M Series A on November 18, 2025.
Peec's pricing is the least consistent across third-party sources. One review told readers to verify it on peec.ai, and another found ChatGPT-cited pages quoting the entry price anywhere from $49 to $95. Believe the vendor page only.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
It is $99/mo per domain for 25 prompts, with +$60/mo for each extra 50, and a 7-day trial. The Semrush One bundles run $199, $299 and $549. If your team already lives in Semrush, the convenience is real. As a standalone GEO tool it is shallow for the money.
Scrunch
Sources conflict. One lists Core at $250/mo billed annually with 125 prompts. Another says $300 month-to-month with 350 prompts. It has a 7-day trial (100 prompts, 3 page audits, per checkthat.ai). Claude and Gemini may be Enterprise-only, depending on who you ask. Also note Sitecore announced it was acquiring Scrunch on June 3, 2026, so roadmap and pricing could change.
AthenaHQ
The only major tool here with a free tier you can keep: 300 credits across 5 models. Starter is $295, and it is credit-based, so costs depend on how you spend credits.
Profound
Profound is not really self-serve for brands anymore. You get a free trial (50 prompts daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews) or an Enterprise quote. The older $99 Starter and $399 Growth prices now apply to agencies, and plenty of older articles still list them as brand pricing. That is a classic pitfall. Profound raised a $96M Series C.
Rankshift and the long tail
Rankshift's Starter is $92/mo for 150 prompts across 8 models, and agency plans include unlimited seats at 77 EUR (per Promptwatch's comparison).
Other names worth a look:
- Trendos: a free plan with 20 prompts on 6 engines, paid plans from $30 to $320.
- AirOps: a free Insights tier, ChatGPT only.
- Searchable: Pro at $125/mo.
- LLM Pulse: $60/mo, tracks weekly.
- Qwairy: about $86/mo, credit-based.
- Ahrefs Brand Radar: roughly $328 or more, sold per index.
- Surmado: a $50 one-time audit.

What "free trial" actually means
This is where people get burned, so read it before you sign up anywhere.
| Type | Example | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Free tier that stays | AthenaHQ, Trendos | Credit or prompt caps |
| 7-day trial | Promptwatch, Semrush, Scrunch, Profound | Whether a card is required; one weekly cycle only |
| Shorter trial | BabyLoveGrowth (3 days) | Barely enough to load prompts |
| Time-limited, card required | Varies | Cancel date in your calendar |
Seven days is short. Prompts run daily, so you get about seven data points per prompt. That is enough to judge the interface and whether the answers look sane. It is not enough to judge trends. Load your real prompt set on day one, not day five.
Compare cost per prompt, not sticker price
A $29 plan with 15 prompts is not cheaper than a $95 plan with 50. Agenzy's figures put the cost per prompt-engine-day anywhere from about $0.0102 (Otterly Premium) to $0.066 (Profound Starter, ChatGPT only). A sixfold gap, hidden behind monthly prices that look similar.
Rough math you can do yourself: monthly price divided by (prompts x engines x 30). A tool that covers four engines on 50 prompts costs far less per data point than one that covers one engine on 50 prompts at the same price.
Engine coverage matters more than you think
Promptwatch Data shows that engines behave differently. In its average sources per response report, ChatGPT cites about 5 sources per web-search answer, Google AI Overviews about 10, and Perplexity almost exactly 10 every day. Copilot swung from under 2 to nearly 17 before settling low, so treat it as unstable.
So a tool that only tracks ChatGPT shows you a very different picture than one that adds AI Overviews. Check each tool's base plan:
- Otterly lacks Gemini and AI Mode on its base plans.
- Profound's entry plan covers ChatGPT only.
- Peec lets you pick 3 of 6 engines.
Decide where your buyers actually search first. Then filter.
Prompts should also mirror how engines really search. Promptwatch's ChatGPT query fanouts report found fanouts averaging 2.15 queries per response in early December 2025 and about 1.84 by early March, with average query length falling from about 117 characters to about 53. The same report says a single prompt can trigger 3 to 8 or more searches, which conflicts with those averages, so I'd quote the averages and not plan around the high end.
Setting up a fair trial
Follow this order during your trial week, whichever tool you pick.
- Write 50 prompts or more before you sign up. With 25 prompts on 3 engines, one flipped answer moves visibility by about 1.3 points (Agenzy, citing Peec's framework). Noise swamps signal at that size.
- Freeze the prompt set. Peec's visibility score only covers the prompts you choose, so changing them mid-test breaks the baseline.
- Record a baseline on day one: visibility, position, and which competitors show up.
- Check what happens after the dashboard. Can the tool tell you what to fix? Can it show whether AI crawlers can read your pages? Monitoring alone leaves the work with you.
- Confirm the export and API situation before you commit. Otterly has no API or MCP below $189.
Which one to pick
- You want monitoring plus action (content, crawler data, traffic): Promptwatch.
- You want the cheapest possible look: Otterly.AI Lite, knowing it is limited.
- You want a clean tracker with flexible engine selection: Peec AI.
- You already pay for Semrush: its toolkit, though it is pricey per prompt.
- You want to test with no card and no clock: AthenaHQ's free tier or Trendos.
- You are an enterprise with budget: Profound, via a quote.

Pitfalls to avoid
Prices change often. Profound's entry price has been quoted anywhere from $79 to $499 by pages that ChatGPT cites. If you rely on an AI answer or an old blog post for pricing, you will probably be wrong. Open the vendor's pricing page in a fresh tab.
Be skeptical of ranked lists, including this one's sources. If a page is written by a vendor that is also on the list, it will rank itself first. Use the facts, not the order.
Last, most GEO tools launched in 2024 or 2025, so public reviews are limited. A tool with 12 reviews is not necessarily bad, but you are partly the tester. The trial week is your protection.
Bottom line
You do not need a demo call to evaluate a GetMint alternative. Most of the serious options let you sign up and start within minutes. Load 50 or more prompts, freeze them, record a baseline, and compare cost per prompt and engine across your shortlist. If you want the tool that also helps you fix what it finds, start with the Promptwatch free trial and run a second tool beside it for the week.
